Connect to the server

1. Connect to the server
To transmit data to a client application, a user should Connect to the server. If the option "Request at the connection" was activated during the registration of an object, then on clicking this button an authorization window will appear. (see the section Vehicle fleet). You need to sign in and click Connect to the server.
The process of connection of a user to the system will be displayed in the Logs Panel and in the Status Bar.
 
This tool has three modes:
"Active" mode: if connection with the server is established and the button is clicked.
"Inactive" mode: if connection with the server is established, but the button is not clicked.
"Unavailable" mode: if there is no active connection to the server, or if there are no selected objects in the vehicle fleet structure.

Monitor

2. Monitor
This tool for monitoring allows to locate an object and display the history of its prior movement (not more than two hours) as a track on the Main Map. In the "Active" mode the current location of a selected object is shown in the Map window. The object's location is indicated by a colored marker, and if the object is moving, the marker on the map is moving, too.
 
This tool has three modes:
"Active" mode: if connection with the server is established and the button is clicked.
"Inactive" mode: if connection with the server is established, but the button is not clicked.
"Unavailable" mode: if there is no active connection to the server, or if there are no selected objects in the vehicle fleet structure.

Reguest track

3. Reguest track
A track is a route traveled by an object during certain time interval.
The function Request track allows to get the data about the route travelled by an object during the chosen time interval. This route will be displayed in the Map window as a colored line; in the tab Track of the Objects Panel, a table is generated with the points of the track (see the section Objects Panel: Track tab).
 
This tool has three modes:
"Active" mode: if connection with the server is established and the button is clicked.
"Inactive" mode: if connection with the server is established, but the button is not clicked.
"Unavailable" mode: if there is no active connection to the server, or if there are no selected objects in the vehicle fleet structure.

Generate Report

4. Generate Report
The tool Generate Report opens the window Reports which allows to generate and customize various types of reporting documentation (see the section Report generation).
 
This tool has two modes:
"Active" mode: if an object is chosen for monitoring in the vehicle fleet stucture in the Objects Panel.
"Unavailable" mode: if no object is chosen for monitoring.

The function Call via SIP phone is meant for making calls (see the section SIP phone).

Make the camera follow the object

6. Make the camera follow the object
The function Make the camera follow the object is designed for visualisation of the location and moving path of an object.
 
This tool has three modes:
"Active" mode: the camera locates the object and shows its location at the center of the map window. Whenever the object moves, the camera follows it, and the object is constantly displayed at the center of the map window.
If you click the button Make the camera follow the object the second time, the mode changes to "Inactive".
This function is in the "Unavailable" mode, if no object is selected for monitoring.

Change map

7. Change map
When you use the option Change map, the map set as the main one takes the place of the additional map, and the additional map takes the place of the main one. If you have deactivated the option Additional map, the maps will still be replaced when using this button.

Settings

8. Settings
This section helps to change settings of the software (see the section Settings).
Important: when you open the Settings window, the current connection with the server is closed. After you close the Settings window, the connection is established again automatically.

File

9. File
 
Connect to the server: client application connects to the server (you can also do it using the button Connect to the server in the main menu).
Save track (*.xls) : the requested track is saved in the track catalog of the client application in the xls format.
Save chart: the data of the chart is saved as a text file (.txt) containing coordinates.
Save screenshot: a screenshot of the active part of the GoogleEarth map is saved in jpg format.

Mode

10. Mode
Track: a mode in which data for a chosen time interval is loaded (you can also do it using the button Request track in the main menu).
Monitoring: the object is monitored in real time; there is a history of its prior movements available (you can also use the button Monitor in the main menu for this).
Make the camera follow the object: the height and the position of the camera are fixed (you can also activate this function using the button Make the camera follow the object in the main menu).

Graphic icons: activation/deactivation of the graphic elements in the menu (buttons/icons).
Query Panel: activation/deactivation of the Query Panel display.
Logs Panel: activation/deactivation of the Logs Panel display.
Telemetry Panel: activation/deactivation of the Telemetry Panel display.
Image Panel: activation/deactivation of the Image Panel display,
Additional map: activation/deactivation of the additional map display.
Tracking Time Scale: activation/deactivation of the Tracking Time Scale Panel display.
Important events: a window with notifications about important events is opened (see the section Event editor).

If you click on some settings from the upper group of this list, a window will open where all settings of this upper group are presented as tabs (see the section Settings).
Event editor allows to create and edit events.
Vehicle fleet administrator is a tool allowing to export/import data.
